Dr Caroline Teh (nee Gunning), is a fully qualified, registered Osteopath and Past State Treasurer of Osteopathy Australia. Caroline attained her double degree in Osteopathy from RMIT University, graduating with distinction and was awarded dux of her class.
Throughout 2004, Caroline returned to RMIT as a member of their teaching staff, working as a classroom tutor. This role was not only educational but provided support and encouragement to students in the infancy of their osteopathic career.
Prior to commencing her Osteopathic qualifications in 1999, Caroline successfully completed a degree in Batchelor of Applied Science (Human Movement). During her studies, she undertook electives such as rehabilitation of the injured athlete, care and prevention of athletic injuries and hydrotherapy. Her hydrotherapy skills were put to good use, as in her final year, she undertook a six week supervised fieldwork position with Yooralla in their ‘Active and Able’ program, requiring her to co-write a rehabilitation program for a patient who had recently undergone knee replacement surgery. Caroline found this experience so invaluable and rewarding that it was the beginning of her passion for rehabilitation and desire to help others return to full functional capacity.
Caroline has extended and consolidated her knowledge in the field of exercise conditioning and rehabilitation by undertaking various positions as a sports trainer. During 2001 and 2002 Caroline was associated with the Blackburn Football Club, working under Dr. Jason Stone, before taking up a position at Toorak East Malvern hockey club in 2003.
In 2004, Caroline joined Waverley City Netball Association to head up the Medical Faculty for the Waverley Netball Centre’s Saturday competition.
In 2005 Caroline was appointed Head Trainer and Club Osteopath at Forest Hill Football Club and continues with that role to date.
Caroline is keen and enthusiastic about Osteopathy and patient care in general. Although her background is in the sporting field, she also enjoys treating the obstetric patient, assisting them with their pre- and post-natal care.
