We Remain Open

To our loyal patients,

It’s with a degree of frustration that I’m writing to you all again about the effects this Corona virus is continuing to have on us all.

Importantly though, we continue to remain open and like last lockdown it’s highly unlikely that we would have to shut our doors. As an essential service and with devoted “patient focused” practitioners we will continue to be here for each and everyone of you.

Whilst we have already taken many measures to be as COVIDSAFE as possible we will now be taking everyone’s temperature upon arrival plus our staff will be wearing masks to further enhance your safety.

In return can I please emphasise the importance of staying home if you’re unwell. We will be offering telehealth appointments by request so if rescheduling is causing angst then please consider this option. Our practitioners are a wealth of knowledge and experience and whilst telehealth removes the hands on component there is still a lot that can be achieved through discussion.

For those attending the clinic, please continue to sanitise upon arrival and wear a mask if possible. This will help keep our staff healthy and ultimately keep the clinic open for everyone.

From all of us here at Wantirna Osteopathy look after yourselves and keep safe.

We Have Moved

44lA42pqSkORDxLcZcUlTgWantirna Osteopathy is excited to announce that we have moved into the new state of the art facilities at 171 Stud Road  between Christmas and New Year.

Established now for 18 years we are grasping the opportunity to expand our services and staff.  Osteopathy is the fastest growing Allied Health Profession in Australia and is projected to double its number of practitioners in the next 5 years.

In the last 10 years the number of Australians visiting an Osteopath has rapidly risen from 25,000 to  60,000  per week.

At Wantirna Osteopathy we not only focus on offering the best care to our community but we also pride ourselves on mentoring and offering opportunities to future aspiring Osteopaths.  These new facilities will allow us the space to offer more services as well as cater for career opportunities to meet the growth in the profession.

We are so excited about this next chapter for Wantirna Osteopathy and look forward to sharing these great facilities and services with our current and new patients.

Drew Wins at Forrest Mountain Bike Festival

Wantirna Osteopathy’s mountain biking star, Drew Blatchford, recently competed in the Forrest Mountain Bike Festival.  A two day 5 race event set in the very hilly Otway ranges.  The event has been running for 5 years now and attracts some of Australia’s best mountain bike racers

After competing in this event last year, Drew was motivated to increase his training in a bid for bigger results this year. He had a successful weekend taking out 4 of the 5 stages in his category and ended up winning the Veterans 30-39 year old category.

This  gruelling event comprises of five separate stages of short and long races over 2 days

Stage 1 was a short 15km circuit sprint race, Stage 2 was a timed 4km hill climb, Stage 3 was a timed descent.  The last stage on Saturday was a 5km head to head race, where riders raced against their closest competitor in the overall standing. Sunday was the longest of the stages at 50km winding through the bush around the town of Forrest.

Drew rode strongly on the Sunday holding his own with leading elite riders.  Overall, Drew finished 10th defeating several Elite riders.  As a result of his great performance he will now have to compete in the Elite category next year.

We all wish Drew the best of luck in future events and stay tuned for more great results.Drew Forrest Festival 2015
