Dr. Jason Stone

Advanced Sports Osteopath/Clinician

Dr. Jason Stone is a fully qualified, registered Advanced Sports Osteopath and founder of Wantirna Osteopathy. Jason also completed a three-year Human Movement degree prior to his five-year Osteopathy double degree. He opened Wantirna Osteopathy in January 2001.

Jason spent three years on the Box Hill Football Club medical team where he held the position of Head-Trainer in 1999. He was the club Osteopath at Blackburn Football Club from 2000 to

2004 and with Boronia Football Club from 2005 to 2009.

As a father of two sons and a daughter, Jason has invested a great deal of his spare time giving back to the local school and sporting community. Jason has focused his love of Australian Rules Football into coaching over the past 8 years where he has coached under 8’s -10’s, 14’s and 17’s at the Wantirna South Junior Football Club. In 2016, he was awarded the Eastern Region Coaches Association ‘Youth Coach of the Year’.

His keen interest and strong background in sports injury and rehabilitation has earned him a highly respected reputation amongst local Sporting Clubs and Associations. Jason was a board member of SMA (Sports Medicine Australia Victoria), the Past Victorian State President of Osteopathy Australia and a current member of the Osteopathy Australia Public Relations Committee and Sports Clinical Interest Group.

Additionally, Jason is involved with Osteo Sports Network — a training, education and networking platform for osteopaths, aiming to enhance the representation and involvement of osteopaths in Australian sport.

Jason says, “the wonderful thing about Osteopathy, is that it’s very thorough, holistic and suitable for a diverse range of complaints. It is quite logical; get the body functioning as well as it can, educate the patient as to how to manage their body and you’re sure to get a successful result”.
