Dr. Matthew Snowball (Graduate Osteopath)

Matthew is a fully qualified, registered Osteopath and member of Osteopathy Australia. Prior to his five-year Osteopathy double degree, he completed a three-year Exercise Sport Science degree. During this time Matthew worked with Cricket Victoria’s strength and conditioning department, gaining valuable experience with injuries and performance.

Matthew has always been interested in the why and the how, which has transitioned his love of sports and activities since childhood into Osteopathy, combining his curiosity of the why and how with the body. Matthew played sports whenever possible up to seniors with football and Cricket. In recent years Matthew has backed off to social sports, loves the gym and has taken up golf.

The transition of Matthew’s interests progressing into his career began with personal training through his Exercise Sport Science degree. He began sports training with the local football clubs of Wantirna FC in 2019, followed by moving to the Head-Trainer position at Doncaster FC in 2020, before beginning his career as an Osteopath in 2021. He continues his personal training and sports training at Doncaster FC.

Matthew will often be found in our gym and rehab room using Functional Movement Screens and exercise to help patients with their exercise goals and injury rehabilitation. These movement tests can be used to reduce injury risk and improve movement efficiency. Matthew likes to empower his patients to move more frequently, with less pain, through hands on assessment, treatment, and exercise.

Matthew is interested in seeing all types of people and complaints, with interests in:

  • Neck Pain
  • Lower Back Pain
  • Sporting injuries
  • Injury Rehabilitation & Prehabilitation
  • Tennis & Golfers Elbow
  • Ankle Sprains
  • Posture Related
